As I was strolling through Books-A-Million this weekend, I came across a hidden gem tucked away in the magazine section. It was in fact, this months addition of National Geographic, dedicated to you guessed it......ESSENTIAL OILS!

Immediately, I knew it would be a perfect subject for this weeks blog post, so off to the check out counter I went.
Diving into the wonders of the magazine, I realized that had not found just a normal National Geographic issue, this is the new beginners guide to everything essential oils.
So, that being said I won't spoil the whole the issue, but I will definitely hit the highlights.
This issue has everything you can think of when it comes to using essential oils to its full potential. From how to make your own natural medicines from the comfort of your kitchen, to learning how treat common ailments like the flue or insomnia, but it doesn't stop there.
Growing your own herbs, herbal teas and honeys, caring for the respiratory system, healing the gut, easing women problems, medical honeys, herbal compresses, helping and healing the skin. These are some of the many informative topics that you will find, along with tips, recipes for teas and foods, and doctor recommended advice.

Personally, one section that proved to be a page turner for me was learning about herbal teas. Recently, I have been obsessed with finding different natural teas, I have tried everything from healthy skin, positive energy, or even teas that help you fall fast asleep. Now, after reading this issue I am ready to kick all of my store bought tea's to the curve and try my hand at making my own.
With step by step directions, you can learn how to make your own hot or cold tea infusions with the many recipes listed, how to prepare your herbs, and even has doctor recommended advice on how to avoid mold contamination when using certain herbs. I mean, what more could you ask for??
To top it all off, two elements that I thought took this issue above and beyond is the list of items to keep stocked in your pantry. It covers items from durable basics, kitchen items, herbs, and more. The second element, is the author recommended resource list, of trusted websites to buy the best raw materials.
So, before this issue flies off the shelves, make sure to grab a copy and immerse yourself into a holistic approach to health and wellness. For there is no better way to nourish and connect with your mind, body, and soul.

Happy Diffusing!!
